That's interesting...So they don't look at submissions on a FIFO basis then maybe different people look at CV's by last name or region?
I wouldn't worry yet, they still have time before the end of this week. You should get it anytime now!
The best part for me yesterday was seeing the...
I am checking this forum every other day to see if anyone else received the email from GARP but it seems people who submitted their work experience on Jan 2nd, received it the latest Feb 6 and there were no posts for two weeks. I submitted mine on Jan 17th and still nothing... Now I regret I...
I wouldn't say FRM is not popular, there are a lot of job postings saying 'CFA or FRM preferred' at least in NYC metro area and there are a lot of different size companies asking for FRM.
I am also looking at CFA as a possible next certification. What I find interesting is why do you have to pay...
I submitted mine last Saturday, 01/17, I am also curious how long it will take - the site says up to 60 days. When submitting my job descriptions I was getting error messages - invalid characters, basically the website didn't like any characters such as ', -, etc. Though it says "no more than...
I passed too and very happy. Thanks David and Team for all your materials and help!!
Now I can enjoy the last two months of my pregnancy and instead of frm books read "What to expect in the first year". Haha. Pregnant can do it! :p
Last year, the results were sent out on December 30th around 4 pm here in NY. If we don't get them tomorrow, I don't expect to see anything till Jan 2nd (I wouldn't want to see the email on Dec 31st regardless of the result... I'd rather have a worry-free day and a great New Year's eve )
I would like to add my couple cents for girls. Do not defer the exam if you are pregnant. I worried that with my six month belly I will not be able to sit for four hours. I remembered P1 and how my back was killing me after sitting on the metallic chair for so long. I even went to see if GARP...
In my opinion, BT questions were extremely helpful and in line with P1, but too easy for P2 (I reviewed them three times, practiced GARP 2011-2014 and end of books questions which were also easy!) It felt after the exam that BT drilled down 100 feet and FRM questions yesterday were a mile...
It was very difficult for me. I solved all BT problems published here but was quiet surprised to see 95% of qualitative questions on the exam. I wish I had spent more time rereading books instead. There was an error on my paper (I think) with finding number of exceptions and given n=2500 instead...
Thank you, David!
I have HP 12C Platinum and was wondering how I should calculate it without any given table.
By the way, after searching about Z tables during the exam, I found your answer from 2012. Thanks again!

Hi,
Can someone please explain the solution to the following problem in the GARP textbook:
Assume that a random variable follows a normal distribution with a mean of 80 and a standard deviation of 24. What percentage of this distribution is not between 32 and 116.
The answer: Prob( mean -...
